    Eric Kimani:born 1997. He attends “Nakuru East Primary”. He helps Kago with repairs and loves sport. He takes care of the animals.

    Kangeche:born 2008. He is the younger brother of Mary and Joyce. His old grandparents are so happy that we took him in also. He is a nice little chap who makes us laugh so often!

    Wanjohi:born 2006. Only recently he moved to Malaika-Home – together with his little brother Chege – when we were alarmed by neighbours. This clever boy is so fine now and very cheerful.

    Chege:born 2009. He is Wanjohi’s little brother. He was so badly-nourished and we are happy that he recovered. He has started walking and enjoys life with so many “brothers and sisters”!

    Jane:born 1995. We found her in Nakuru Remand Home – a children’s prison. The police had taken her there in order to protect her against being abused by her step-father after her mother had died. She has taken her exams in class 8 and has started attending Secondary School.

    Frederick:born 1996. He attends “Nakuru East Primary ”. He is an ambitious student and works hard. He is a talented boy, loves to sing and to be on stage as an actor. The other children respect and love him and he helps them whenever he can.

    Zachariah:born probably1992/93. Learning is hard for him. We found some friends who help him to learn about carpenter work and building a house. Zach loves football and acrobatics. He is so helpful and tries to speak some English.

    Caroline (“big”):born 1997, also attends “Nakuru East Primary”. She is an intelligent girl and is performing well in school. Drama, poems and singing are her favourite activities.

    Maureen:born 1996, attends “Lanet-Primary-School”. She is “small” Caro’s elder sister. Drama, poems and East African pop music are her hobbies. She is quite helpful with the household and the little children.

    Sharifa:born 1998, attends “Lighthouse Academy”. She is performing well and her school report is good. She is the eldest of a group of three sisters and one brother (Lovett, Lavine, Sheila). They all live together in Malaika-Home.

    Lovett:born 2000, attends “Highway Academy”. He is very sporty and a creative “engineer” and “constructor”. But he is also our “little dreamer”. He skipped class one.

    Caro “small”:born 2002, is also attending “Highway Academy”. She loves playing in the garden and is very inventive. Doing homework is not her favourite thing, but taking care of younger ones is fine.

    John Muturi and Absalom Kibe – the twins:born 2002. They attend “Highway Academy”. Both are very bright and interested in nearly everything, have clever ideas when playing and a vivid imagination. They skipped class one.

    Lavine:born 2003, attends “Highway Academy”. She is a cheerful little girl who likes playing and singing.

    Mary:born 2005, also attends “Highway Academy”. She is a clever girl who is always best in class. She is curious and inquiring. She is the elder sister of Joyce and Kangeche. She enjoys playing in the garden.

    Joyce:born 2006. When she arrived, she was so serious and she never laughed. Now she can’t stop! She has finished baby-class in “Highway Nursery” and is in “middle class”.

    Sheila:born 2007. She needs special medical care and is developing so well now. She is still our “little baby” and pampered by everyone.
